Road to Gold

This website is a final project by two University of Virginia students for our Soccer Politics course.  On this site, we explore women's soccer at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.  We delve into how the tournament works, some of the key teams, and give you the ultimate guide to what to look out for this summer!  We take a look at the historic USWNT, reigning Olympic champions Canada, the host nation France, the reigning World Cup champions Spain, the dynamic Japan team, and the attacking-minded Nigerian team to get a look at some the most interesting teams to watch this summer.  We hope this website provides some much needed and easily accessible information on the women's side, as well as sparks new interest in the sport.  Get started by navigating to the About page to learn about the tournament itself or dive straight into your favorite team by clicking on the flags below!
